I'm Sara

HOLISTIC PHSIOTHERAPIST & FUNCTIONAL NUTRITIONIST

I specialise in helping individuals restore balance, improve movement, and reduce pain through a whole-body, holistic approach. Born and raised in the UK, I have been a physiotherapist since 2005, supporting clients with chronic pain, musculoskeletal issues, movement dysfunctions and stress-related tension patterns.

Over the years, I began to see how many of my clients’ physical symptoms were influenced by deeper factors like digestion, hormones, stress physiology, sleep, energy balance, and the cumulative load of daily life. This naturally led me towards functional nutrition, allowing me to support clients not only with pain and movement, but also with symptoms such as bloating, IBS, PMS, perimenopause changes, fatigue, headaches, skin issues, blood sugar swings, such as energy dips, cravings, and stress-related patterns such as brain fog, poor sleep and feeling overwhelmed.

My journey into functional nutrition

My path into nutrition began with my own health story. For years I was a high functioning, busy London physiotherapist living with longstanding IBS and hormonal symptoms that were repeatedly dismissed by doctors. My severe teenage menstrual symptoms were managed with a band-aid solution, the oral contraceptive pill, masking the underlying issues.

Like many women, I was told my symptoms were “normal” even when they didn’t feel that way. After a burst appendix and worsening IBS in 2015, I discovered nutritional therapy. Working with a practitioner helped me regain control of my health: my IBS symptoms almost disappeared, and I was finally able to stop the contraceptive pill without any hormonal backlash I had previously experienced. But without addressing my hectic lifestyle, I eventually burnt out and experienced chronic fatigue following COVID. This became a turning point: I realised I needed to rebuild not only my physical health, but my entire way of living, including acknowledging and working through stored trauma I had never given space to process.

This led me into the world of functional nutrition, which offered deeper explanations and awareness of the symptoms I’d carried for years, along with the tools to support my body in a more sustainable, compassionate way. Alongside my clinical training, I’ve always loved cooking and exploring food in a way that feels joyful and nourishing. Navigating my own dietary needs, including periods of gluten free, dairy free and lower carb eating, has given me a practical understanding of how to support clients with restrictions or sensitivities in a realistic, compassionate way.

This journey shaped the practitioner I am today: someone who listens carefully, looks at the whole picture, and supports individuals who feel unheard, overwhelmed or stuck in a “new normal” of suboptimal health. I bring this wealth of lived experience, clinical training and deep exploration to my work, and I am passionate about supporting individuals, especially women, to feel well, resilient and connected to their bodies again.

Treatment is a partnership

Treatment is a partnership, and the more you invest in your recovery and wellbeing, the greater the benefits.  I take a compassionate, client-centred approach, ensuring open communication and collaboration throughout your care. Whether you're seeking support for back or neck pain, headaches, postural issues, pregnancy-related discomfort, or postnatal recovery, I work with your body to develop a personalised physiotherapy plan that meets you where you are are.

I also support babies through gentle paediatric cranial therapy, helping with common concerns such as feeding difficulties, unsettled behaviour, head‑turning preferences, and tension patterns that can develop after birth.

Alongside hands on treatment in Copenhagen, I also offer online functional nutrition to address the wider systems that influence how you feel, including digestion, hormones, energy, blood sugar balance, stress physiology and nervous system regulation. This whole body approach allows us to explore the root causes behind your symptoms and create sustainable strategies that support longterm health. I have a particular interest in women's health, helping women navigate the physical and psychological changes that come with pregnancy, postpartum recovery, and hormonal transitions such as perimenopause.

Long-term wellbeing

Over the years, I have developed a deep understanding of how the body functions as an interconnected system. Pain, discomfort, and chronic symptoms often originate from patterns far beyond the area they are felt. That’s why my approach focuses on identifying and addressing the underlying drivers, not just managing symptoms. Stress, posture, and movement patterns all play a crucial role in physical well-being.

Stress in particular can contribute to muscle tension, joint stiffness, headaches, sleep disruption, and increased sensitivity to pain.  Alongside this, nutrition, digestion, hormones, blood sugar balance and energy levels influence how the body heals, adapts, and responds to daily demands.  By offering both personalised physiotherapy and functional nutrition, you can choose the type of support that best fits your needs. Whether you choose one service or a combination, my focus is always supporting your whole system, not just one part of it.

My goal is to help you move better, feel stronger, and build long-term wellbeing through tailored treatment, root cause exploration, and practical lifestyle guidance that supports lasting relief and recovery.

I primarily work in English, with conversational Danish available when needed.
